I avoided the Thursday morning coffee at the Marietta chamber for 8 months, and one handshake got me $1,800
I used to think those 7am chamber coffee things in Cobb County were just a bunch of folks handing out cards and forgetting you by Friday. I skipped them for 8 months and kept cold emailing businesses around Marietta with no replies. My neighbor dragged me to one at a spot off Roswell Road two weeks ago, and I almost turned around in the parking lot. I sat next to a guy who runs a small HVAC company, and we just talked about his phone problems for ten minutes, no pitch at all. He called me 3 days later and signed for an $1,800 job to fix his booking setup. So now I'm the person telling everybody to go, which is weird. For folks who do these regularly, is the Thursday morning one or the Tuesday evening one better for actually talking to owners?
