I finally saw what a good LinkedIn photo swap does for connection requests
About 3 months ago I swapped my blurry group photo for a clean headshot taken at a coffee shop in Decatur. My profile views went from maybe 5 a week to about 20, and I got 3 real coffee meeting requests from people I never met. It was wild how just having a clear face made people actually want to reach out. Has anyone else seen their networking take off after a simple profile update?

Tbh my headshot looks like a mugshot, people probably reach out to see if I'm still alive.

Is a headshot really that big of a deal though? I feel like you could've just put on a clean shirt and taken a decent selfie. People act like a professional photo is gonna unlock some secret level of networking, but it's still just a picture.
