Just realized I prefer in-person coffee chats over LinkedIn DMs for networking
Everyone keeps saying to just message people on LinkedIn, but after 4 months of that got me 2 replies and zero meetings. I switched to asking for 15 minute coffee chats through mutual contacts and landed a solid referral in 3 weeks. Anyone else find face to face way more effective than messaging?

Has anyone noticed this same pattern in dating apps vs meeting people through friends? Its like people shut down when they feel theyre being "sold" something, whether its a job or a date. A warm intro cuts through all that noise and makes it feel human again.
