Just realized I was bringing the wrong business cards for 6 months
I kept bringing those glossy cardstock ones to meetups until someone at a coffee shop joked they looked like coupons. Switched to matte and suddenly people actually held onto them. Anyone else have a small thing like that make a difference in networking?

A lot of people overlook the weight of the card. Thicker cards feel more solid and make people think you're established. Thin glossy ones feel like junk mail. Also, a rounded corner can make a card stand out in a stack. Most people just grab a cheap template and print them. Small details like that are what actually get your card saved instead of tossed.

Yo @zaranelson hit the nail on the head with that rounded corner thing. It's wild how such a tiny detail can change the whole vibe of a card. Have you noticed any specific industries where that kind of polish matters more, or is it pretty universal? Just curious if it's a finance thing vs a tech meetup thing kinda deal.
