Just realized I wasted $350 on a fancy LinkedIn profile optimizer tool

I signed up for this service that promised to overhaul my profile for networking in Atlanta. All it did was pull generic buzzwords from my resume and post them as a headline. Has anyone else tried those automated profile tools and gotten nothing useful out of them?

Did you actually talk to a real person before handing over your money?

Did you actually get a real human to look at your profile or was it all some algorithm spitting out keywords? The thing nobody talks about is how these tools can actually hurt your chances because recruiters see the same cookie-cutter language from hundreds of people and just skip right over you. I'd rather spend that money on a local networking group in Atlanta where I can shake hands and talk to people face to face. Sometimes the old school methods still beat out the shiny new tech.
