Remember when networking meant swapping business cards at the Buckhead rotary lunch?

Back in 2008 I used to drive 30 minutes to the same hotel ballroom every month, hand out 50 cards, and maybe get one coffee meeting out of it. These days I just post in a couple of local Slack groups and get a solid lead within a week, but I still miss the awkward small talk and free lukewarm chicken. Anyone else find the old handshake method more memorable than a DM?
