Shoutout to the IT guy at Piedmont Park who fixed my routing issue with a sticky note
He wrote down the VLAN ID on a piece of masking tape and stuck it to my laptop lid while I was setting up a temporary network for a charity 5k last Saturday, and that one note saved me two hours of digging through logs.

Ngl, that sticky note hack is clever for a one-off fix but it's not really a solution. If he had to do that for every person setting up a network, it would be a mess. Proper documentation or a quick email would have been a better way to handle it long term.

You ever just have one of those days where a quick hack saves you way more time than the "right way" would have taken? I've been in situations where a sticky note got the job done faster than tracking down someone for documentation or writing an email, especially when you're juggling fifteen other things at once. It's not perfect, but sometimes a band-aid works long enough to let you circle back later when you've got a breather.

Sometimes that band-aid turns into the new standard if nobody circles back though.
