That moment at the Ponce City Market meetup shifted my whole approach

I used to show up to networking events and just hand out cards like they were candy, talking to anyone who looked my way. But last Tuesday at the Ponce City Market mixer, I realized I'd spent 20 minutes with a guy who didn't even own a business. Now I hang back, watch who's actually having real conversations, and only approach 2 or 3 people the whole night. Has anyone else found that picking your spots beats working the room?

32 years of tax returns and nobody caught that, @kai_ramirez38, his whole persona was a masterclass in smoke and mirrors.
