The Great Peachtree Road Wi-Fi Crash, or How I Pitched a Broker Blindfolded

Last month I was at that coffee shop on Peachtree Road, the one with the red stools, trying to do a video call with a tech client in Alpharetta. Mid-sentence, the Wi-Fi just died, like someone flipped a switch, and I'm staring at my laptop screen with the frozen logo of the client's VP. I panicked, grabbed my phone, and did the whole call with voice only, using my notes scribbled on a napkin, which somehow landed the deal for a 12-month retainer. Anyone else had to salvage a meeting from a dead hotspot, and what garbage backup did you use?
