The IT guy at my office in Alpharetta showed me our switch closet and I finally get why our wifi dies every day at 2pm
I always blamed Comcast for our afternoon slowdowns, but he pointed at a single unmanaged switch with 14 cables jammed into it and said that thing has been maxed out for 2 years. Turns out the whole floor runs through one $40 box without any VLAN setup, so when the sales team jumps on Zoom calls, everyone else gets choked out. How are you all handling segmentation in small offices, one managed switch or separate VLANs per department?
