The time I realized I was networking all wrong at a local meetup
I went to this Atlanta tech mixer last month at a brewery in Midtown. I spent the first 45 minutes talking to one guy about his startup because I thought you had to make deep connections. Then this lady who runs a local marketing firm told me she swaps cards with 15 people in an hour. That's when it hit me I was treating it like a date instead of a speed round. Has anyone else figured out a better way to work a room without feeling like a used car salesman?

That "treating it like a date" line hit home hard for me.

What exactly changed for you when you started looking at it that way? Curious if it was more about the effort you put in or how you showed up.
