Thought paying for a BNI chapter in Buckhead was a waste until I did the math on one referral
I joined a BNI chapter near Lenox Mall 8 months ago and honestly felt silly writing that $600 check for a group I barely knew. Then a guy who installs security systems passed me one name, a property manager in Sandy Springs, and that single contact turned into $4,100 of panel work for my shop. So for folks who do the in-person networking thing around here, which chapters actually hand out real leads and which ones just want you to show up and eat breakfast?
600 bucks for one $4,100 job is a solid return, but that's also 8 months of breakfasts for one lead. Feels less like a system and more like you got lucky with one guy who happened to know somebody.
