Tried a big generic networking event at the Georgia Aquarium versus a small coffee meetup in Decatur last month... the difference was wild.

The aquarium one probably had more sharks in the water. The coffee meetup sounds way more my speed.

Coffee sounds perfect because my small talk is about as graceful as a shark trying to do ballet. I'd probably just ask a fish what its five year plan is. At least with coffee, if I say something weird, I can blame it on the caffeine. The only teeth I have to worry about are my own, and I can keep those to myself. Aquarium dates seem like a lot of pressure to be interesting in front of living decor.
