Tried swapping business cards at a Dunwoody coffee shop last Tuesday and got a whole different vibe

I was at this coffee shop off Ashford-Dunwoody trying to network with some local IT folks, but this one guy kept handing me coupons for his dog grooming business instead. Turns out I accidentally sat in the pet owner meetup zone for 20 minutes before realizing my mistake. Has anyone else totally misread a networking crowd and ended up pitching code to someone who just wanted advice on golden retriever grooming?

Hold on there, that coupon thing is a pretty common joke but I think you might be mixing it up with a different promotion. It was actually a free nail trim with any full groom, not a grooming coupon by itself. I remember because I showed up expecting just a free groom and had to pick a nail trim instead.

Found that writing things down super early helps, like right when I think about it not later on. Took a lot of stress off and actually made the process way smoother for me.
