Went to the new Ponce City Market co-working space and noticed something weird about the WiFi
I stopped by the shared workspace on the third floor of Ponce City Market last Tuesday just to check it out. The place was packed with people on laptops, but I noticed almost nobody was using the free WiFi they advertise. I asked a guy next to me why he was using his phone as a hotspot instead. He told me the public network there drops out every 20 minutes during peak hours. That got me thinking about how many networking opportunities get killed by bad internet in Atlanta. If you're trying to meet people and share links or do a quick demo, a spotty connection ruins the whole thing. Has anyone else run into this problem at other co-working spots around town?

That "bad infomercial" bit hits home, I started carrying a travel router for backup.

Reminds me of that time I was at a coffee shop in Decatur trying to show someone a portfolio site and the WiFi just died mid-load, had to resort to describing it like a bad infomercial. Spotty internet really kills the whole vibe when you're trying to network.
