I've noticed more shops skipping the post-paint bake cycle lately

Maybe it's just my corner of Ohio, but I've seen three different shops in the last 6 months hand over cars that still smell like fresh solvent. They cut the bake time to save on energy costs, and it shows in the clear coat hardness after a few weeks. Has anyone else seen this trade-off between speed and durability where they work?
