My air hammer died mid-stroke on a quarter panel last Tuesday

Had a customer car sitting in the bay waiting for me to finish the weld-in, and the tool just locked up solid with the bit stuck in the metal, so I had to borrow a rusty backup from the shop next door to get the job done by closing time - has anyone else had a pneumatic tool crap out at the worst possible moment?

Rented a plasma cutter once that crapped out with a 3 inch hole half cut on a truck frame. Had to grind the rest out by hand with a cut off wheel, took forever and the customer was watching me the whole time. That's the thing with pneumatics, they're either bulletproof for years or they fail at the absolute worst second. Should've known better than to grab that backup from next door, that thing was probably older than me and leaking air from three different spots.
