The $60 dent puller vs the $600 one at a shop in Tulsa

Had a customer bring in a hail damaged hood, quoted them $850 for repair. I've been using this cheap slide hammer kit from Harbor Freight for years, but last month I borrowed a friend's fancy stud welder with the slide attachment. Night and day difference in how fast the metal came back up, the cheap one left tiny waves I'd have to fill. Spent 2 hours less on that hood, and the customer even commented how smooth it looked before primer. Has anyone else tried stepping up their dent pulling tools, or am I overthinking my budget setup?
