TIL waiting on primer prevents paint failure

I always painted right after primer to save hours. After a job came back with peeling, I now give it a full day. What's your go-to dry time for primer?

Why waste a whole day waiting for primer to dry? I've painted right after priming many times and never had paint peel. That peeling job sounds more like a problem with surface prep or using cheap paint. Most primer cans say you can topcoat in a few hours. A full day is just overkill unless you're painting in a rainy basement.

Guess some of us just have magic paint that sticks to anything, huh? Poor @elliot_wright2 probably didn't get the same enchanted paint can you did. Maybe the real waste is having to redo the whole job when it peels in a month. Those can instructions exist for a reason, but what do they know?

Can we just paint right after like @blake_wells?

Ugh, learned the hard way to wait longer than the can says.
