Went with the cheaper stud welder over the spot puller and saved $340 on a quarter panel job
Had a 2016 Civic rear quarter that got pushed in about 4 inches near the wheel arch, and I sat on the fence for two days between a $180 stud welder and a $520 spot puller. Went cheap since the damage was in a single wall panel, and honestly the stud gun did the job in about 90 minutes of slow pulling. The one catch is you gotta keep the slide hammer at a shallow angle or the studs snap off right at the base. Curious what you all use on high-strength steel panels where the studs keep breaking, because I'm not sure I'd trust this thing on a newer truck.
