My old boss in Reno bet me $50 I couldn't fix a no start with just a test light
Back when I was green, my boss at the shop in Reno said a test light and a wiring diagram would beat a code reader on any no start. I laughed and grabbed the scanner first. Two hours later I had nothing, so I swallowed my pride and traced the circuit with his test light. Found a chafed ground wire behind the kick panel in about 20 minutes. Now I want to know, do you guys still reach for the test light first or is that just old school thinking?
