My parts guy in Fresno sold me a reman alternator that died in 9 days and I'm done with remans
Honestly I put a reman alternator on a 2013 Civic 9 days ago and it already crapped out on the customer. The dash lit up like a christmas tree at 6:45 am on her way to work, battery light, abs light, the whole show. I tested it with my meter and got 11.8 volts at the post, so yeah, it was toast. My parts guy in Fresno swears by these remans and every one I've put in this year has come back, that's 4 out of 6 that failed inside a month. Ngl I'm about to eat the core charge and just buy new from here on out, the $60 I save is not worth the comeback and the angry phone call. Any of you run new alternators on high mileage cars or do you still roll the dice on remans?
