Shoutout to my old torque wrench for hitting 5,000 clicks

I logged all my uses and hit that mark yesterday on a Ford F-150 water pump. It made me realize how much I rely on that specific tool for consistent, clean work. How many cycles do you guys usually get out of a good click-type wrench before it needs a recalibration?

Nice, I keep a log for my main wrench too.

Wow, logging every click is next-level dedication to tool care.

My old man logged his hammer swings for 40 years, @jana509, and it never made the nails go in straighter.

Wait, isn't he tracking something else entirely though? Honestly, logs like that aren't for making the nails go straighter, they're for spotting patterns in your own fatigue or form over time. Tbh, my dad used to jot down how many swings he took each day before he started messing up joints or missing the nail head. Ngl, it helped him realize he needed to take a 5-minute breather every hour, not that the nails themselves cared. But yeah, a hammer swing log won't fix bad aim or a worn-out hammer face. It's more about your own body's limits than the wood's stubbornness.
