Talked to a diesel mechanic at the parts counter who told me I was overthinking my torque wrench calibration
He said he just uses his snap-on digital every 6 months and hasn't had a come back in 20 years, so now I'm wondering if my yearly $150 calibration service is just wasting money, anyone else skip the fancy labs?

Does Snap-On offer me a coupon and a free keychain with their calibration too though?

Snap-On doesn't do coupons or giveaways because they know their tools sell themselves on quality alone. Most of their calibration customers aren't asking for freebies, they're paying for precision and a brand that actually holds its value. If a cheap keychain is more important than getting your tools right, there are plenty of budget brands out there for that.
