TIL a guy in Tulsa charges $85 just to plug in a scan tool
Heard him tell a customer that the diag fee is separate from the repair, and I finally raised mine to $70 after sitting at $40 for 3 years, so what are you all charging for a scan these days?

$85 seems steep but maybe he's in a market that supports it, my area would laugh me out of the shop for that. Your $70 bump sounds pretty reasonable after 3 years, just see how your regulars react before worrying too much about what Tulsa guy does.
