Took me 5 years to finally trust a torque wrench over my gut

I used to just tighten lug nuts by feel, been doing it since I started at a shop in Fresno around 2018. Last week I had a 2014 F-150 come back with a wobble on the highway, turned out I overtorqued two studs on the rear axle. The customer showed me the snapped thread and I felt like an idiot, my hand said tight but the spec said 140 ft-lbs. So I bought a digital torque wrench for $180 and did every wheel on my own truck first. It felt weird clicking at the number instead of my usual yank, but the ride is smoother and nothing's loose. Still getting used to trusting a beep over muscle memory, anyone else switch late and fight that habit?
