Unpopular opinion: throwing parts at a car is why so many diag jobs come back
I had a 2016 Civic come in last month with a misfire and the last shop had already sold the guy plugs, coils, and an injector for $900 and it still shook. I hooked up my scope and found a chafed wire in the harness rubbing the intake bracket, fixed it in 20 minutes with a piece of loom and solder. Guessing costs the customer money and makes our trade look bad, and the parts cannon never fixes a ground or a wire. Load test the circuit and verify the fault before you touch a parts order. How many comebacks have you seen that were just a bad ground the first guy missed?
