Appreciation post: The old manuals had a better layout for trouble codes

I keep seeing newer techs miss the diagnostic flow charts because they're buried in a digital menu, but those charts saved me a 2-hour job on a King Air last month. Anyone else still reaching for the paper binder first?

My buddy wasted half a day on a Cessna because the digital tree hid the coolant flow chart. Paper manual had it right on the first page he flipped to.

Are we sure this is a layout problem and not just a refusal to scroll? The digital version has the same chart, it's just a few clicks away. Maybe the real time saver was knowing what to look for, not the paper it was printed on.

Hold up, you're saying the chart is just a few clicks away? On the hospital's digital system I used, it was buried in like five different menus under weird names. If you don't know the exact label they used, you're just guessing. The paper version was literally open on the desk. That's not a refusal to scroll, it's a terrible digital layout.
