Hot take: That 'perfect' shift everyone talks about was my worst week ever
I mean, last month everyone kept saying how smooth things were going on the 737s, but I spent 8 hours straight on a single wiring fault in the flap system at LAX. Turned out to be a bad connector pin, but nobody believed me till I showed them the schematic. Has anyone else had a week where the 'easy' jobs actually took longer than the hard ones?

Man, tell me about it. I had a three hour battle with a loose ground wire on a 747 last Tuesday that everyone swore was a five minute fix. Showed up with the multimeter and they still didn't believe me till the damn thing arced.

Til the damn thing arced." Yeah... that sounds about right.

Always keep a spare ground strap in your bag, even the small ones. I've had three times where the "tested good" wire ended up being the problem after swapping everything else. Saves you from that whole back and forth when the multimeter is right but nobody wants to admit it.
