Rant: I swore by the old-school paper manuals for years, but a job in Phoenix last month changed my mind.
Got stuck on a weird comms fault on a G280, and the digital troubleshooting module in the Garmin software found the bad LRU in 20 minutes. Anyone else made the switch to full digital tech pubs yet?

Yeah, but what happens when the software itself glitches out or you lose your login? I've seen guys stuck on the ramp with a dead tablet and no paper backup. That digital module is great until it isn't.

Actually, that's exactly why we keep paper backups in the truck.

Used to carry those binders everywhere too... but that G280 job was a real eye-opener. The digital module walked me right to the faulty box I would've spent hours chasing. I get what @bell.jessica says about paper backups, but the speed and search in digital just wins for me now.
