Rant: My best AOG fix also had the worst paperwork day after

Had a nightmare 14 hour shift last Friday in Atlanta just to get a 737 back in the air, then spent the whole next morning buried in 3 separate logbook entries and a service bulletin headache. Anyone else hate how the actual repair is easier than documenting it for the FAA?

My buddy Dave had a Cessna 172 that went up fine but the paperwork took him six weeks and three calls to the FSDO just to clear a tiny fuel line swap, and he swore the actual job took less than an hour. He now keeps a spare logbook in the hangar just for the "what if" panic mode.
