Shoutout to the guy in Omaha who showed me my torque wrench was off by 18 inch pounds
I was doing a pitot static check on a King Air last month and he put his calibration gauge on my wrench as a joke. It read 18 inch pounds low across the whole range, and I had been using that thing on flight control hardware for over 2 years. So every bolt I thought I torqued to spec was actually under by a good margin. How often are you guys sending yours out for cal, because mine is going in next week.
