Spotted a Garmin G3X Touch retrofit in a 172 at KAPA last weekend
Walked past a panel that had the cleanest wire routing I've seen in a while, made me want to redo my own mess. Has anyone else noticed shops getting better at keeping the bundles tight and labeled?

Use labeled wire managers and ditch the zip ties for lacing cord, it looks way cleaner.

Lost a whole roll of lacing cord on the floor the other day, @rivera.hannah, my cat thought it was a toy. Still beats peeling old zip ties off though.

Oh yes, my cat did the exact same thing last week...

The shop over at Rocky Mountain Air did my buddy's 182 last year and they used adhesive anchor points and Tefzel wire with pre-printed numbers. It looked like a factory job. I switched to spiral wrap for the bundles that don't see much movement and it keeps things tight without that sticky zip tie residue. Makes the next avionics upgrade way less of a headache when you can actually trace a wire.
