Totally get it, my cheap canister felt like a rip-off until a raccoon tried to steal my whole pack. That little plastic cylinder saved a week's worth of food. Best pointless purchase ever.

Tbh that raccoon story hits home. My buddy had a whole cooler dragged off by one before he got a bear can. Seems dumb until you're the one picking up shredded wrappers at dawn.
