Showerthought: I always skipped the Eagle Rock loop past the 3 mile mark, then a guy from Fayetteville showed me what's up there
For 2 years I'd turn around at the same spot near the creek crossing because I figured the rest was just more of the same ridge. He walked me up to the overlook past the old fire tower last Saturday and the whole valley opens up, so now I'm planning a full 14 mile push through it.
