Warning: dropped $95 on a lightweight sleeping pad for the John Muir Trail and it popped on night two
Bought an inflatable pad from a big outdoor store in Fresno because the reviews all said it was bombproof. Got to Little Yosemite Valley the second night and it was flat by 2am. Turns out a tiny seam near the valve had a pinhole leak that I couldn't even find until I dunked it in a creek back home. I ended up sleeping on my pack for the next four nights and my back still hurts thinking about it. Anyone got a pad that has actually survived a full JMT thru hike without patching?
