The flavor difference on a simple steak is huge, and I actually enjoy the slower process now. Anyone else find that simpler gear makes for a better backyard experience?
Ugh, no way. My morning is crazy enough without adding more steps. If a machine can make my coffee while I'm getting ready, that's a win. Who has time for all that extra work?
Yeah, it's funny how that works... I've been getting into old film cameras lately, and it's the same thing. You slow down, you think about each shot, and the whole experience just feels more real. Even making coffee with a pour-over instead of a machine turns a two-minute task into this little morning ritual. The gear doesn't do the work for you, so you end up more connected to what you're actually doing.
