My tomato plants finally took off after I stopped babying them
I spent all of June fussing over my three tomato plants in the backyard. Watering them twice a day, checking for bugs, even talking to them like a weirdo. Then we went to visit my sister in Ohio for a week and I figured they'd be toast when we got back. Came home to find them twice the size with little green tomatoes starting to form. I guess they just needed me to back off and let them do their thing in the heat. Now I'm wondering if I've been overthinking my whole garden setup this whole time. Has anyone else had that moment where your plants do better when you leave them alone?

Read somewhere that plants actually do better when they feel a little neglected, like they have to fight to survive.

Wait, so I gotta ignore my plants for them to be happy? That can't be right.
