That $350 mosquito net setup either saved my summer or made things worse
I spent $350 on a full screened-in gazebo from Amazon to keep the bugs out, but now I feel like I'm trapped in a mesh box while the rest of the yard is unusable. Has anyone else found a better balance between staying bite-free and actually enjoying open air?

...and now you're just paying to sit inside a nylon cage staring at your backyard like it's a nature documentary you can't touch. I've seen people do this and then they end up running extension cords in there for a fan and a TV. Might as well just put the thing in the living room at that point.
The real punchline is when the wind picks up and you're chasing that gazebo across the lawn at 11 PM. But hey, at least the mosquitoes are laughing too.

Honestly, I used to roll my eyes at those setups too, but your "nylon cage" line actually kinda flipped a switch for me. I was looking at one online last week thinking it's fine, but now I'm picturing a windstorm and my mortgage payment chasing a tent around the block. Tbh, you just saved me a few hundred bucks and a real embarrassing Saturday night.

Nah, I gotta disagree here. A screened gazebo is the only way I can actually sit outside where I live without getting eaten alive, and it's not that hard to stake it down so it doesn't fly away. With a good breeze and the right spot, you still feel like you're outside, just without the buzzing in your ears.
