Saw a home baker use a kitchen scale vs measuring cups last weekend
I was at a friend's bake-off party and this one lady brought cookies she weighed every ingredient for, while another used the classic cup method. The weighed batch came out way more consistent. Is precise weighing really that much better for everyday baking or is it just extra cleanup?

Beyond consistency, weighing helps you adjust recipes on the fly if you want to change the texture. You can swap or reduce ingredients by weight and know exactly how it will behave, which is much harder with cups. That kind of control is what turns a good baker into a great one.
