My $25 digital scale just saved a batch of macarons from total disaster
I was eyeballing the almond flour and sugar like I used to, but the scale showed I was almost 20 grams off on each. Anyone have a favorite brand for scales that can handle tiny measurements?

OXO is solid but I had one crap out after a year. Ended up switching to a My Weigh KD8000 because I needed something that could handle both tiny amounts and bigger batches without resetting. It takes a bit more counter space but the consistency is worth it. Having a scale that reads in 0.5 gram increments changed how I approach finicky stuff like macarons.

My OXO Good Grips scale has been a lifesaver for macarons because it measures down to a single gram. That precision is crucial when a few grams of almond flour can change the whole texture. I've had mine for five years and it's still perfectly accurate.

Remember my old scale would jump around by like five grams, totally ruined a batch of brownies once because I added way too much flour. Ended up giving it to my brother and just eyeballing things for months until I caved and bought a new one. Never realized how much I relied on it until it was gone.
