Hot take: keeping a paper list of clients beat my fancy project app
I have tried every productivity app out there, but 3 weeks ago I went back to a plain notebook. Writing down each client's name, deadline, and what I promised them by hand takes 5 minutes every morning. Last month I missed 4 deadlines while juggling reminders on my phone. This month I have not missed one, and I can see the whole week on one page instead of swiping through screens. Has anyone else ditched the apps and gone back to paper, or am I just old?
Noticed the same thing with grocery lists and workout tracking, the physical act of writing just makes stuff stick in your brain better. There was a study or something about how typing notes is faster but you remember less than when you write by hand, and my own habits back that up. Paper is slower on purpose, and that extra few seconds is where the remembering happens, so you're probably not just old.
