I just hit 90 hours of work in a single week and it felt normal, which is terrifying

I was looking at my time tracker and realized I'd been working that much for three weeks straight without even noticing. It only hit me when my partner asked when my last day off was and I couldn't remember. How do you even start to pull back from that kind of pace without losing all your work?

How do you even begin to unwind from that? That's a brutal pace, and it's scary how fast it becomes normal. I like what @gracej99 said about blocking an afternoon, but you might need to schedule a whole day where you literally cannot check email. The work will still be there, but you won't be if you keep going like that.

Three weeks straight and you didn't even notice? That's how people end up in the hospital. You need to look at your calendar right now and block out a full weekend, no work allowed. The work will pile up a bit, but you're no good to anyone completely burned out.
