Switched my phone to grayscale and it actually helped my focus

My brain was fried after a long project. Couldn't stop checking my phone. Saw a tip online about turning off color. Did it last Tuesday. It sounds small, but it worked. My screen is just black and white now. No more bright red notification dots pulling my eye. I pick it up way less. Gives my mind a real break between tasks. Anyone else try something like this to cut down on digital noise?

I tried that and my brain still wants the dopamine hits.

Makes sense, everything's so visually loud now.

Oh wow, that's a really good point about the notification dots. I never even thought about how those little colored cues are basically training our eyes. It's like the whole screen is quieter without them shouting. Makes me wonder what other tiny design tricks our phones use to keep us hooked. Kind of want to try this now just to see what else I notice.
