The before and after of saying no to a $500 project

I took on a logo job for a friend's cousin back in March for $500. It turned into 23 revisions over six weeks and I was so annoyed I couldn't focus on my regular clients. Swear I lost twice that in productivity and sleep. Anyone else have a small project that wrecked their whole workflow?

Got hit with 12 revisions on a $200 flyer once and wanted to throw my laptop out the window.

Man, @anthonyrivera I feel that in my bones. Had a client once who wanted me to change the font on a logo like six times, then came back two weeks later and asked for the original one back. Ended up charging them for all the back and forth, but they still tried to haggle me down at the end. Some people just don't get that revisions aren't free labor, you know?

Bet on yourself to say no earlier and trust that the right client will pay you more than that for way less headache. Those 23 revisions cost you way more than $500 in the end.
