Thought the whole 'no meetings before 10 AM' rule was overblown until I tried it for 3 weeks

I used to take calls at 7 AM because I felt guilty saying no. After 2 years of starting every day stressed out, I blocked off mornings for actual work. First week was rough, I kept checking email out of habit. But by week 3 I was getting more done by noon than I used to all day. Anyone else find a weird time boundary that made a big dent in your burnout?

By week 3 I was getting more done by noon than I used to all day" - I get that mornings are better for focus but is it really that deep? Some people just like working early and that's fine too.

Ask how many people actually tracked their output before and after switching to morning routines, or is it all just vibes and good intentions? Feel like there's a lot of "I felt more productive" with zero hard numbers to back it up. Did anyone here actually time their deep work sessions both in the morning and the afternoon to compare?

Ask if you actually tracked your output before and after, or if it's just a feeling. Because I'd bet half these people never measured what they got done at 2pm before they decided mornings were magical. Feels like confirmation bias wearing a productivity costume. Did you try working late one week just to see if the hype holds up, or is it all based on a couple good mornings in a row?
