Three years ago I took on every job that came my way and it wrecked me

Back in 2021 I was saying yes to pretty much anything a client asked for. I took on a big repaint of a house in Brookline that had 14 rooms and the timeline was insane. I worked 70 hour weeks for two months straight and by the end I couldn't even look at a paint roller without feeling sick. Last month I finally turned down a job that would have paid 4 grand because I knew it would mean skipping my kid's soccer games and working Sundays. It felt weird at first to say no but I slept better that night than I had in years. Has anyone else had that moment where a no felt better than any yes?

Took the $4k myself and it paid off way better than waiting, @rowan_ross. Sometimes a bird in the hand is just smarter.
