TIL a friend's advice about taking Sundays off saved my sanity

My buddy Mike who runs a graphic design studio in Denver told me to block off Sundays completely. No emails, no sketching, no client calls no matter what. I thought it would kill my momentum but after 3 months my brain actually rests now. Has anyone else tried a full day off and felt guilty about it at first?

Did you find yourself actually getting more done during the other six days after you started taking Sundays off?

It really made a difference for me once I stuck with it for a few weeks... at first I felt guilty like I was wasting time but then I noticed I was way more focused on Saturdays knowing I had that full day off coming. My brain just seemed to work better Monday through Saturday without that burnout feeling creeping in by Thursday. Sundays became my reset day where I'd do nothing or just whatever I felt like and that actually helped me sleep better too. The trick was not letting Sunday chores sneak in, had to really guard that day or it would fall apart.

Wait, didn't you mean six days (Monday through Saturday) actually, Kevinw94? I found the same thing - taking that full Sunday off made my other days way more productive because I wasn't running on empty all week.
