Vent: Wasted $300 on a fancy coworking membership that I used maybe 4 times in 2 months
I thought paying for a private desk would cure my procrastination but instead I just sat at home feeling guilty about the money I was losing, has anyone else fallen for the expensive workspace trap?

The first month I barely stepped foot in my fancy coworking spot, same exact deal. I paid $350 for a dedicated desk with a window view and used it maybe 6 times total over 8 weeks. What got me was that guilt spiral where you're home thinking "I'm wasting money right now" but you're too stressed about the wasted money to actually go use the desk. My honest take is that those memberships work best for people who already have a solid work routine and just want a change of scenery, not for trying to jumpstart a whole new habit. The real trap is thinking a physical space can fix a motivation problem that's actually about mindset and daily structure. Your mileage may vary, but I've seen lots of clients fall into this same hole with expensive gym memberships too.

That $350 desk paid for a lot of guilt and zero productivity, basically a really expensive way to hate yourself from home instead of the office.

it's just like how @caleb_bell5 said, we pay for stuff to fix a mood not a real problem, like buying fancy planners you never open lol.
