A plumber named Dave in Des Moines showed me his 3 ring binder, and now my invoices feel lazy
Ran into an old plumber named Dave at a supply house in Des Moines about two weeks ago, and he pulled out this beat up 3 ring binder with every job logged by hand going back to 1998. He said he's never once had to chase a payment over $500 because guys can see the dates, the parts, and his signature right there on paper. I've been emailing invoices for a decade and still get ghosted on $1,200 here and there. Do you think switching to a paper trail would really make people pay faster, or is Dave just built different?
